Watermarks è una collezione di sculture tessili indossabili, ispirate al mondo acquatico, dove la materia scorre e si trasforma come una corrente viva. Ogni opera nasce direttamente sul manichino, senza disegni né cartamodelli: prende forma attraverso un linguaggio fatto di intuizione, ascolto e gesto. Il processo è silenzioso e stratificato, costruito come un mosaico di migliaia di tessere preziose e di migliaia di metri di cuciture. Ogni frammento viene lavorato singolarmente, costruito, osservato, lasciato trovare la propria forma, prima di essere unito agli altri. Solo nell’insieme queste parti rivelano la loro piena lettura, come accade a un mosaico che si comprende davvero soltanto quando è completo. È un lavoro paziente e istintivo, in cui materiali pregiati e di recupero si incontrano e si contaminano, trasformandosi attraverso decostruzione e ricomposizione. La materia si disfa e si rigenera più volte, fino a perdere la sua origine e diventare altro. Ne emergono presenze tessili fluide e stratificate, come tracce d’acqua sedimentate sul corpo del tempo. Ogni cucitura è una memoria sommersa, ogni frammento una deriva che trova il proprio equilibrio nell’armonia instabile dell’insieme.

Watermarks is a collection of wearable textile sculptures inspired by the aquatic world, where matter flows and transforms like a living current. Each piece is born directly on the mannequin, without drawings or patterns, taking shape through a language of intuition, listening, and gesture. The process is silent and layered, built like a mosaic of thousands of precious tesserae and thousands of meters of stitching. Each fragment is worked individually—constructed, observed, and allowed to find its own form—before being joined to the others. Only in the whole does the work reveal itself fully, like a mosaic that can only truly be read once completed. It is a patient and instinctive practice, where fine and reclaimed materials meet and intertwine, transformed through processes of deconstruction and recomposition. Matter repeatedly unravels and regenerates, until it loses its origin and becomes something else entirely. What emerges are fluid, stratified textile presences, like traces of water sedimented on the body of time. Each stitch is a submerged memory, each fragment a drift that finds its balance within the fragile harmony of the whole.
